SPOTIFY POSTER
Lizzy McAlpine just released her debut album and Spotify wants a lyric poster to promote it.
The song chosen for the poster was I Knew and the lyrics were, “Why did you leave me without you.” After listening through the whole album multiple times and tracking the motifs that showed up often I found apartments in big cities are mentioned a lot and the weather is used to illustrate the mood. Because the lyrics are very somber, I used the big city and weather, specifically rain, to best represent my song and album. The idea I came up with was someone who wrote the lyrics on a fogged-up window overlooking a city.
